We look forward to receiving your comments on Version 0 of the
2012-2015 Work Plan (attached) by Thursday 26 May.

While preparing these comments, you may also want to consult, and
comment on as you see fit, the outcomes of the GEO Work Plan Symposium
that took place last week.

The Symposium convened over 100 participants from 35 GEO Members and
Participating Organizations (see attached list of participants) and
provided a key opportunity to collectively review the new Work Plan
Version 0 and explore Work Plan management options.

In particular, the Symposium fostered discussions around (i)
individual Work Plan Task contents, Deliverables, Leads, resources and
gaps, (ii) the Work Plan structure, (iii) the template applied to each
Task of the Work Plan, and (iv) the transition from the current
2009-2011 Work Plan to the 2012-2015 Work Plan.

As anticipated, technical comments received by 26 May, Work Plan
Symposium outcomes, and recommendations made by the Executive
Committee will then be incorporated in Version 1 of the 2012-2015 Work
Plan, to be submitted for official review in late June (see attached
letter).
