CLIMECO Training for Young Scientist - LIVE Broadcast
-------- Original Message --------
Dear all,
we will make a valiant last minute effort to broadcast the plenary lectures thoughout the week LIVE on the internet using the EUROCEANS WebConference tool.
We hope you are patient with us as this is only a first attempt, but we will do all we can to broadcast as much as possible.
How & When?
Broadcast will begin on Monday 21 April at 9.00am Central European Time (CET) and the program will be displayed daily.
To eavesdrop on the training, simply go to this address -
http://www.eur-oceans.info/live/player.php
-Hints: press F11 to optimize your screen
-Put your volume on max
-empty your browser's cache (Under Firefox: Tools>Options>Delete cache ; Under Internet Explorer: Tools>Internet Options> Delete internet files and History)
-re dial the address
http://www.eur-oceans.info/live/player.php
The training website also provides resources and materials for preparation prior to the event, as well as brief desciptions of each plenary lecture.
Unfortunately there are only 140 connections, so dial in early and don't give up after the first failed attempt.
Q&A session
The platform allows for a very brief Q&A session after each plenary (subject to change), however priority will be given to discussion by attending participants.
Online participants are invited to pose questions, but those will be merited by a scientist before posing (and only if time allows).
CLIMECO is sponsored by CLIVAR, IMBER, GLOBEC, EUROCEANS, WCRP as well as Region Bretagne, UBO and IUEM.
