BIOCAT Summer School: Announcement
Dear Colleagues,
please find attached the announcement for the "BIOCAT Summer School" held at the IFM-GEOMAR, Kiel, Germany, 15-19 September 2008.
BIOCAT stands for Biogeochemical Interactions between the OCean and the ATmosphere.
The BIOCAT Summer School covers topics such as Aerosol and Atmospheric Chemistry, Air-Sea Gas Exchange, Physical Oceanography, Biogeochemical Modelling and Geo-Engineering. It will include short praticals in Chemical Analysis, Biogeochemical Modelling, Presentation of Scientific Results as well as daily sampling cruises to the Baltic Sea.
We welcome applications from scientists early in their careers (PhD students; postdocs and scientists who have received their PhD <2 years), either working toward or having recently completed a doctorate on a topic related to BIOCAT and SOLAS/SOPRAN or showing strong interest on those topics.
Application deadline is 30 April 2008.
