Abstract
Carbon cycling in coastal oceans is an important component of the global
carbon cycle. Advances in recent years have provided new insights into its
linkages with terrestrial, atmospheric, and open ocean biogeochemical
cycles. However, carbon cycling on coastal oceans is still poorly understood
and under sampled. We intend to bring together researchers focused on
inorganic carbon and related cycling of nutrients and organic carbon. All
aspects of carbon cycling research including fieldwork-based reports, new
technologies, model exercises and predictions, and identification of
knowledge gaps and recommendations on research needs are all welcome.
