OA session proposals for Planet under Pressure conference (26-29 March 2012)

Dear All,
The call for abstracts for the Planet Under Pressure conference in London in March 2012 is now open.
Members of the SOLAS-IMBER Ocean Acidification (SIOA) working group are involved in the organisation of the 'Ocean Acidification: Ecological impacts and societal implications' session (see: http://www.planetunderpressure2012.net/session_williamson.asp).
Four topic areas are identified in the ocean acidification session description:
- consequences of OA for organisms
- consequences of OA for ecosystems
- consequences of OA for socio-economic systems
- consequences of OA for policy.

The provisional plan is to have four oral presentations covering what we
know and what we need to know in these areas, to introduce wider
discussion.  Thus abstracts of an overview nature are encouraged for 'oral
abstracts'.  (In a near-final step of the abstract submission process,
authors have the opportunity to specify whether they wish their
presentations to be considered as oral, poster or either).  Abstracts for
posters, that may focus on specific studies, are also very welcome.

Whilst selection of session contributions from submitted abstracts will
primarily be based on their quality, a wide geographic coverage is also an
important consideration for the Planet Under Pressure conference.

Please consider submitting abstracts for this session.
