Summer Workshops

Save the Date: OCB2025 Summer Science Workshop Tuesday June 3 to Friday June 6, 2025 at NASA AMES Center (Moffett Field/Mountain View, CA)

OCB2025 Plenary Topics

  • Constraining the dark ocean carbon cycle (Co-chairs: Anne Dekas, Anela Choy, Jeff Bowman, Randie Bundy)
  • Land-ocean connectivity (joint with North American Carbon Program) (Co-chairs: Jessica Luo, Fei Da, Kanchan Maiti, Shaily Rahman, Libby Larson, David Butman)
  • Rapidly changing systems (Co-chairs: Kristen Krumhardt, Rachel Stanley, Melissa Melendez)
  • Bridging scales in the ocean carbon cycle (Co-chairs: Zachary Erickson, Tim DeVries, Roo Nicholson, Daniel Whitt, Dreux Chappell)
OCB2025 Summer Workshop Website

The OCB Project Office advertises, supports, and coordinates the annual OCB summer science workshop. The dates, theme(s), and thematic session chairs are chosen by the OCB-SSC with input from the broader OCB community. In addition to plenary sessions on timely state-of-the-art science, the OCB summer workshop provides a forum for community discussion of new research directions and opportunities. This meeting is always live-streamed to engage broader participation, and we field questions from virtual participants. The Project Office posts workshop recordings via the OCB YouTube Channel as soon as possible after the workshop.
