Newly Funded OCB Activities

We are excited to announce the outcome of the most recent OCB Activity Proposal Solicitation. The following activities will kick off in 2021:

  • Carbon isotopes in the ocean: Ensuring high-quality results in the future (small workshop) – PIs: Ann P. McNichol (WHOI), Roberta Hansman (WHOI), Bob Key (Princeton), and Rolf Sonnerup (Univ Washington)
  • Daily to decadal ecological forecasting along North American coastlines (joint scoping workshop with US CLIVAR) – PIs: Antonietta Capotondi (Univ Colorado & NOAA PSL), Victoria Coles (UMCES)
  • Major expansion of BGC-Argo and the use of profiling floats (joint virtual workshop with US CLIVAR) – PIs: Ken Johnson (MBARI), Roberta Hotinski (Princeton), Andrea Fassbender (NOAA/PMEL), Steve Riser (UW), Lynne Talley (SIO), Susan Wijffels (WHOI)
  • Driving the direction of future mixotrophic research (working group) – PIs: Nicole Millette (VIMS), Karen Stamieszkin (VIMS), Jessica Luo (NOAA/GFDL), Holly Moeller (UCSB)
  • Coastal Arctic Biogeochemical Data Synthesis in Preparation for Arctic-COLORS (small workshop) – PIs: Antonio Mannino (NASA GSFC), Peter Hernes (UC Davis), Paty Matrai (Bigelow), Robert Spencer (FSU), Maria Tzortziou (CUNY)
